Boomaroo Nurseries, a specialist seedling producer supplying around 250 million seedlings to vegetable growers in Sth Australia, NSW and Victoria is seeking a Grower to join the Greenlife team.
Boomaroo Greenlife is a steadily developing section of the business that focuses on the growing and distribution of a variety of ornamental plants. It has a broad customer base which is also developing quickly.
This is a great opportunity for you to combine your general nursery knowledge and experience to have an impact on the direction of a rapidly expanding business.
Reporting to the GreenLife Operations Manager, you will be required to:
• Manage all aspects of the production of ornamental products.
• Participate in scheduling and planning.
• Provide written reports on the product status.
• Be flexible with early starts, late finishes, occasional weekend and public holiday work.
You must have:
• A proven track record in growing.
• Substantial experience in pot/container growing.
• Sound communication skills.
• Demonstrated skills in the area of "people management".
• A good team spirit.
• Ability to operate with short time lines and under pressure.
Salary will be commensurate to skills and experience.

General Nursery Hand - Truck Driver

Boomaroo Nurseries, a specialist seedling producer supplying over 250 million seedlings to vegetable growers in Sth Australia, NSW and Victoria is seeking a General Nursery Hand/Truck Driver to join the Greenlife team.
This is a great opportunity for you to combine your general nursery knowledge and experience with direct customer contact through delivery of our product.
Reporting to the Greenlife Supervisor, you will be required to:
• Carry out General Nursery Duties.
• Deliver multiple small orders within the Melbourne metro area during peak hours.
• Work outdoors and be used to physical manual work.
• Be flexible with early starts, late finishes, occasional weekend work and public holidays.
You must have:
• A medium rigid truck license as a minimum.
• A good driving record supported by a Vic Roads license report.
• A good team spirit.
• Strong communication skills and good customer relations.
• Good knowledge of the Melbourne and Metro area.
• Ability to operate with short time lines and under pressure.
• A current forklift license would be an advantage.
Salary will be commensurate to skills and experience.
